not sure if my juv is ok or not... he has been in his hide all day and usually he only goes in for a bit then comes out etc, but not today... anyway i moved his hide so i could check on him (i think some sand may have hardened and maybe fell over him :??) anyhow when i saw him his eyes were dialaited like pupils were like big and round and his head was shaking a bit, but then 5min maybe 10min after he was out and on his branches like normal but his pupils are still dialaited after an hour or so...

is he ok? normal or not normal? i hope i didnt hurt him with the sand if thats what happened

Sand wouldn't have hurt him.. pupils can dilate in low light levels (like in the hide) or when stressed (you uncovering him), so that's perfectly normal probably.. don't stress if he spends his days in his hide - he is a snake and that is what they do. My diamonds are in their boxes every single day and only come out after lights out.. it's OK for him to be hiding a lot.
