Hi all,
I am relatively new to the snake world and I have just bought my first snake (diamond Python)
She is so cute (for a snake anyway) and I just wanted to find out how often I should look at feeding her (6 - 8 weeks old) and I have read many Threads and posts and I believe I am correct in saying that for the heating I should be using a heat pad only at one end of the container.
What end does the water go and do I need to have UV. I have vent holes in the side of the clip container and a couple of logs/toilets rolls for her to climb in........Is there anything I am missing???

Thanks for any help in advance.............

The water container should be in the cool end. When it comes to UV,ppl say they need it,the other half say they Dont. When it comes to Diamonds, imo i think they a couple hours each day would be sufficent.Dont foget photos, they are always appreciated.....

ive never used uv for snakes (more for lizards from what ive heard) i have diamonds and carpet and stimsoni's, i do take my snakes outside once a week and "sun" them though

Thank you everyone.......I appreciate the advise....I will put some pictures on in the next day or so.

Tatt2tony how long do you leave them in the sun for?? approx anyway........

Congrats, Diamond Pythons are awesome.
I have mine under UV Light but i dont think it is needed but i do it with all my reptiles. But yeah after she settles in and eating well, take her out for a sunning as tatt2tony suggested.

Good luck and welcome.

Thanks brycehf and the others for all your help..............I am going home soon to feed her for my first time not her and I'm sure that should be interesting as I have not seen a snake feed before..........so see what it is all about......
