From what I believe and also from what I have heard over this forum is that if your python is over 10months, healthy, eating well and doesn't look to be stressed, you should be able to put him/her into a suitable enclosure (something that would suit its whole life).

You can get/make a enclosure big enough for an adult and put the python in with its click clack into the enclosure, still provide heat to the click clack but put a heat lamp in the enclosure for a few hours in the morning.
You can have the lid open a little bit (so your animal can get out of the click clack) and monitor your animal and see how much him/her is exploring the enclosure, then gradually open the lid more and more.

When you fully remove the lid, you could put the hides and water bowl from the click clack into the enclosure so that he/she has something that he/she will know the smell of.

Thats just my opinion. Thats what I'll be doing with my Jungles when I can make a suitable enclosure for them.
I hope that helps.

im with you on that trouser

i do it a little differant i keep em in the click clack for 6 months then move them into a larger tub about half the volume of the main enclosure for a further 6 months by this stage may snakes are usually 3 feet long (i only have carpets) and are cool in the 3x3x2 enclosures i keep em in.
