so complicated! Too late at night to be thinking about this, was never good at essays:(
But thanks heaps for the info. Still sucks that the rules are all different, who cares which state it is in as long as it is being cared for correctly. Oh well.

The restrictions in Tassie would be one of the worst. To import a species down here at present the following applies:
a. Must be tropical species (above tropic of capricorn)
b. Must be registered as a zoo/wildlife park or have a registered business with display permit
c. Submit care and management plan
d. vet checked for OPMV, chrypto, certified no previous IBD on premises

Reasons being so hard.....they are not naturally occuring in Tassie, could pose a threat to native wildlife, and the BIGGEST concern.....at present we are a disease free state.

To gove you an idea of the process.....I have been waiting 3 1/2 months to gain approval to import a spencers.....still no definitive answer

So i have a snowballs chance in Hell of getting submission approved. Of well, worth a shot. Can understand them wanting to keep Tassie disease free but how frustrating. Yes or no shouldnt take that long.
