Hi I received my male Stimson on th 9.8.10. The gentleman said it had been in cooling until then.He feed it the day before a full grown mice. Now it hasnt ate since that day the temperature in its enclosure is 28 degrees. It has water a fake rockhide and it has kitty crumble as substrate.I was wanting to no could it be shedding now as its showing the symtoms of shedding. My little stimson has not ate durring the same time but ate on the 10.8.10.She shed on the 8.8.10 but hasnt ate since then what could be her problem as she was a big eater but lost interest now.Any suggestions please thanks

Hi dragonboy69,
I've noticed that you've had a few people read your thread, but no replies....might be because some people aren't quite sure what your asking? (you now have two snakes ?)
A couple of points, noticed your temperature is only 28degrees C, but typically 30 - 32 degrees in the hotter end is better, (as long as you also have a cooler end). After cooling you need the snake to be warmer prior to feeding, otherwise it can't digest it's meal properly. Feeding around sheeding time is quite often variable, ie they stop just before shedding and then sometimes take a while before accepting food again. Your Stimmies may also be self brumating due to winter conditions and enclosure temperature.
Snakes can last for quite a while without eating, if you get things back to normal then everything should fall in place....any other input from guys with stimmies, please jump in and help.
