hey all,
just a quick question, my 75cm coastal carpet python is currently in a 2ft by 2ft enclosure, how long till she out grows this one and i have to upgrade?
and how large should i go when i upgrade? 3 footer or a 4 footer
or is better just to go big and get a large one so she can get to full size in it without upgrading again, help would be appreciated
thanks guys and gals
:)

I'd go for the 4ft one, their rate of growth will be determined by her locale, (sizes range between ~7ft and 10ft+)and how much she gets to eat. I dont like keeping them in enclosures that give them less than 2/3rd of their body length to stretch in,either height or length (a 3ft young snake in a 2ft tank means get a larger enclosure pretty quickly ) , but that my preference.

She will grow large and the coastals usually turn out bulky too. We would recommend something at least 1.8m tall x 1.2m wide by 0.6- 1.0m deep , but that's just us, i've seen them fully grown in a 2ft x 2ft x 3ft

I hope that wasn't a Brissie coastal....... that would be one very cramped (and cranky) lump of muscle ! !
