Just wondering what dilution people are using with f10? I just got some, and was thinking either 1:1000 or 1:500. Any suggestions?

I use 2ml to 1/2 litre (500ml) of water. That kills fungal spores.

Ok so is the lowest dilution rate, 1:125 from memory, still considered safe for use in reptile enclosures

Cool, thanks guys. Yeah the instructions just consist of a list of dilution levels and what they can kill. The most concentrated is 1:125, but I dont think I need to kill parvo! Thanks for the responese!

Hi, I have just received my f10 in the mail. I notice it has 2 lids on it. What do I do? lol Which part do I add to water? or do I mix both parts together, and then put 1mL into 500mL of water?

Sorry, dont have much experience hope someone can shed some light

Michael

whatever you do, don't drink out of the one on the left. Experience is one thing, being able to read the instructions is another. God help you, I cant.

You may not need to kill parvo, but it also kills OPMV and the like. I have always used at 1:125 for half an hour. Basically, that dilution will kill everything you would want to kill, but in saying that, using that dilution for only 1 min won't do anything. Better safe than sorry, that's my logic.

Are you ****ing serious?

The instructions say rinse the surface with water, and then apply f10 solution as per the dilution rate. That is all they say.

The f10 has two chambers yes? Going on the instructions i would mix the ratio between the small chamber and the big one. The conflicting information I am trying to resolve is that people say they dilute it with water.

Does that mean I mix the f10 up into the dilution, and then mix the f10 2 part dilution with water?

thanks for your attitude mate. ****

Just open the lid on the small side of the bottle, keeping the other tight, squeeze the bottle until you get the required amount of F10 in the little section. So for a 500ml bottle of water you would put 4ml in to get a ratio of 125:1. Then add the 4ml to the 500ml of water in a seperate bottle (Say a spray bottle)
Hopes this helps.

Yeah I understand. I just realised that they are interlocked and the small one is a built in measure. I have used two part products in the past and I just thought it was a two part product as I tipped it upside down and squeezed it and the liquid didnt move to the other chamber.

Never the less cheers for your attitude waterrat :):)
