I was given a carpet that was a friend of mines first snake. He could not get it to eat for 3 months so gave it to me. I have had it eating frozen baby quail for a while now and he will take it every time without hestation. I have been trying to ween him onto rat pup pinkies etc with no luck. My question is how nutricious is quail and will he still grow happy and healthy on quail only.

quails are absolutelt fine as a staple diet... ALL my animals get a 99% quail diet and ill rarely give then a rat.... rats are to expensive at the moment. my animals are very healthy happy and breed just on quail.

also... ive heard this around the block but sometimes you may get a explosive ( kaboom ) type turd when you first start feeding quail to your snakes.
there was a picture of i Think was a bhp which managed to paint the entire!!!!! enclosure with scrat...

On average they will lay 8, they lay better that one a day over a week!
