Does anyone know much about this medication?

I have been given it by a vet to treat a hatchy with a respiratory infection and have found it amazing.

I am curious to what other uses it is good for please...........

It is used as an antibiotic, ameobicide and antiprotozoal. Fish keepers will know it from way back.
