I had three Snakes checked, one had some traces of worms and was treated orally with a couple more courses for me to take home and inject into her next two feeds (mice), and it was around the $40
Well worth the visit and peace of mind.

im one of those people who have problems with killing the rats bye smacking them onn the concrete but do this occasionally. i usually tend to freeze the rats to kill them then feed to my snake. can this do any harm or are the answers the same as before?

I really hope you don't mean killing them by freezing them? That is an agonizing way for them to die.
Thats the problem for the rat.

The problem for the snake is as mentioned before.
Freezing them to kill them and then feeding the next day after defrosting does not kill any nasties.
3months min. is best.

I did agree with this statement whole-heartedly in this thread before.

I am wondering why you asked me about the coolroom, but I came to the conclusion that you thought I didn't care about the rat, my statement obviously didn't come out clear. What I meant that the poor rat has a big problem, if that makes any sense.

Sorry Artie, My mistake mate. I work in freezers and beleive me its not a party. lol especially in winter too. :)

1. moose your disgusting,
2. co2 i got was from BOC on rental.
3.. correct me if im wrong, but i was lead to believe reptiles would not be affected by parasites and infections carried by birds and rodents......
Therefore breaking a neck or smacking against something before feeding would be fine.....

you are wrong :)
snakes can suffer from the same internal parasites and bacteria as rodents or birds, It's only mites that are species specific.

Isn't there some that reckon the nutritional value goes down with freezing anyway??

If I remember correctly, freezing destroys Vitamin A at least.
