hey Hugsta. good to see i'm not the only one that has calls to deadly rubber snakes, however my funniest would still be the rubber snake in a tree in the Mount Druitt area, upon catching this deadly animal i learnt that the good memebers of the NSW police service had been there the previous day for the same animal. i was informed that they were deciding to shot it, but were not given approval. imagine the headlines, "deadly, rubber snake gunned down in suburbia"
i couldn't stop laughing when i was told that. when i showed the house owner that it was rubber, she then stated that kids must have thrown it in her yar.. i think that was a given considering she backed on to the local school.

I would be the same womas, thats a big panoptes and one not to be messed with, they do have a nice set of claws and teeth on them.

LMAO Herc, I can also see the headlines. These deadly rubber snakes.....I don't know, I thought exotics were bad....;-):D

Great stories hugsta... :D

Speaking of rubber snakes....My father and mother-in-law, (Daavid's parents) park their car under a floor (block of flats) with plumbing pipes going through the top which is over their car. They had heard if you put a rubber snake on the pipes it will stop the birds from pooping on your car...and it works! Has anyone else ever heard of that? :?: Curious...

(if anyone gets a call in Melbourne for a snake rescue, it may be the rubber snake... )

Would make sense Judy, the birds would know no better, but I would imagine you would have to move it around to make it seem real though or else the birds would get used to it being in the one spot all the time.

Hey Huggy? How much do you charge for a call out?? Our local Snake Remover charges $40 whether he catches the snake and removes it or not? Expensive eh? Wouldn't it be better if people just made more noise? Then the snake would just get further away??

Have you been called to catch a snake to be confronted with an exotic yet Hugsta or anyone?

When you saw the hood on the "cobra" husta you must have been surprised for just a moment :)

when the police call you to assist them in a bust because they are worried there is a snake, this is always a buzz and you never know what you might come across, just not far from me there was a bust, for stolen goods, that turned up quite a few exotics, boas, iguana, chamelien,,and lots of other goodies to.the last one i went to with the frankston police was for a young girl who had a big carpet snake, got to the house which was a huge mess, and the snake had escaped about a week before..i did a token search, but there was to much crap to find it,the worst thing was is that the girl was the daughter of a mate of mine that i havnt seen for 20yrs...
