Hi Everyone,
I had a little problem the other day with my usually super placid snake.
My 3 yr old diamond decided she wanted to constrict around my hand and not let go.
I know we normally shouldn't try and unwind them so to speak, but it started to get desperate after 25 minutes and my hand turning blue. Trying to unwind her only made her constrict tighter.
I believe she did this because she was due for a feed.
At no time did she strike at me, only a few hisses and she is handled regularly.
I was wondering if anyone had any method for getting a snake off you when this occurs.
I've scoured the web but there seems little info.
I thought maybe putting a bit of an ice block on her may get her to let go, but this is an un-tested method.
Any advice would be appreciated.
