Hi All,

I posted about 2 months ago, got my first clutch off eggs from my stimmie, wasn't expected and wasn't prepared so went with natural incubation.

so, been a while now and yesterday had my first two hatchlings emerge, there are three more eggs that yield a baby snake, i know this as i very carefully opened the egg as instructed as it has been 24hours since the first two popped their heads out.

so, one egg is stuck to the clump, there was a dead egg that could not be removed and lead two the death of another egg, when i cut one open "carefully" that was stuck two the dead eggs, (it also has some black on it), slightly deflated, the egg was dry, there is a fully formed baby snake inside but the shell appears to be dry and stuck to the snake, i did my best to make an opening and have left this one alone,

there are two more, when i cut the egg it is a allot more healthy, there is moisture in the egg, i made an opening but there is no movement in either of them.

so, the eggs have been placed in the breeding box under the heat light, the mother is no longer incubating them.

any thoughts? ideas? is there a chance they will hatch? should there be movement allredy? or could it take some more time before they emerge? or do you think they are still born? as they did not attempt to open the egg with their egg tooth like the other two.

any help appreciated.

cheers,

Put them in a tub on damp vermiculite, if you don't have any then moist paper towel, then place that tub inside the enclosure but make sure the temps stay between 28 and 31
