Hi
My mums 12 month old GTP has a few raised scales that when rubbed, come off, leaving what looks like a scab.
She has just shed, and had the black spots before and now after shed.
No sign of mites/parasites. She has a vet appoinment friday, just wondering if anyone had any ideas what it may be.

i dont know too much on gtps sorry but it looks like it may be scale rot? from having too much humidity?
what are the temps and the humidity?

If the snake has just shed & is kept in QLD, keep it dry for the next two days. Do not mist the enclosure or boost humidity. It premotes bacteria. Wait & see what the vet says on Friday. Also check the enclosure for anything sharp & remove. Could be anything from scale rot to an injury.

Thanks for the comments. I initially thought scale rot, but the marks are not moist with no pustules as would appear with scale rot.
She is housed in a plastic tub without excessive humidity. I was thinking maybe a fungal type infection?
