By the time my gecko was gravid the first time this season, she had 2 clacium buildups behind her skull that were quite pronounced, she laid 3 times this season and they have diminished.I have 2 gecko eggs due to hatch any time now, they are both have really hard shells. Do they soften before hatching? they were due 2 days ago, should i pip them? does anyone even pip gecko eggs?ren

hmmm..... i would say pip but im not sure so dont listen to me.
Most eggs are very soft, so they may not hatch if not piped.

I would leave them be. You have not said what type of gecko it is but by the description of the calcium buildup a would assume it is a hard shell egg laying gecko. So it is normal for the eggs to be hard. Every time I have heard of someone trying to pip gecko eggs it has not turn out good.
