For an esky incubator, what is the best way to attach a heat cord around the sides and line the floor? Can you use those little hooks you use to put pictures on walls. Or will they melt? Can the heat cord be touching the edges of the esky? Cheers

Your incubator shouldn't be more than 40*C, so if an esky can withstand a hot summer day, then so can your home-made incubator.

Mine has self adhesive plastic hooks holding the cord in.

clips , hooks , alu tape , grey tape ....
A cord wont melt tubs they sit on so cant see them melting those plastic clip hooks

Whatever you use, dont make it too permanent to start with, as you might want to juggle the placement to achieve required teperature gradients. Remember heat rises so you generally need more cord at the bottom if you want an even gradient such as in an incubator.
