Hey guys just a quick question our spotted python is in shed but his shed has broken apart is this a bad thing? his head has shed off woth both eyes which is great but it broke off at the neck and then tue last bit of his tail is the only other part of him not shedding and its the only skin in the enclousure i am currnetly watching hin.now from a distance and he is looking like he is tryin to shed but its not happening any ideas or help out there guys would be much appreciated

Mist him with some water or put it in a tub with a damp towel for a day, should do the trick.

Also if the misting does not work try an actual luke warm bath. Same temperature that you would make for a new born.

Good luck!

my coastal did this last week her head shed and she stayd in her box so i forsed her out of her tank into a warm bath loving it and then her skin was shedding all over my hands trying to get her back in her tank and next morning she had shed it all off
pic of her in the bath :)

I gave him.a bath for 5 minutes and got.him out because he was getting heaps stressed and when i got him out i went to pull back a bit of his skin and he started to cone out of 8t so i held on to it and my boy shed in my hands it was amazing thanks for the help guys

Too easy. As for the bath, forgot to mention, don't make it deep. Its only got to be shallow otherwise they will stress. The bath works the best as it completely soaks them.

You know for next time :)

Yeah it was not deep enough for it to just cover him but it just stressed him but he shed now a feed and then put his old enclosure ib his new one and see how long it takes him to adjust

By the way you have an amazing costal

Best remedy I have ever been shown and it works a treat is put him in a warm bath of Camomile tea for 10-15mins then use a cloth/towel that you have wet with the tea and squeezed out and let him work his way through the towel while you hold it. I have a friend with a 6ft cranky carpet that routinely has this problem, they soak her and put her back in her enclosure and she sheds the rest.
