Perhaps if you change the branch under the heat for a lower rock, your python might bask there. A rock will hold heat even if further away.

Is the blue bulb a night bulb?

@pinefamily I might try messing around with the bask height and such, I like the idea of a rock, i've just got to find a nice flat decent sized one.
I'm a little worried that if I decrease the bask height he might try and wrap the cages again though :S

I put the blue light in for some background night heat incase it was needed but it doesn't get used. Just not got around to taking it out.
