Dave and I love any type of fishing. Love going Crabbing for Blue Swimmers, Squid, Yabbies, Callop(Yellow Bellies/Perch?), whatever? but the thing is, we don't have a lot of time these days. Have to keep up with the orders. Haven't organised a Rodent Ranch apprentice as yet, worse luck? LOL!

I Love saltwater fishing ..... I went deep sea fishing and got sea sick :cry:
But i suppose the 5 mtr swell may have had something to do with it ! we went out 26km from moreton island i think it was flinders reef we fished at 75mtr deep !
I will be going fishing and crabbing again on sat night

Fishing,man i love fishing and i have a passion for it just like i do for reptiles.I've grown up with fishing as long as i can remember from freshwater to spear fihinggame fishing,off the rocks and jettys,botttom fishing and floating a pilly around the Whitsundays and fished the outer reef so many times,so many stories.The one that got away and the ones that didn't.I get out whenever i can and think myself lucky to live where i do cause you rarely ever come home empty handed.
Here's a pic of my nephew with a 4 1/2 kilo coral trout i caught last trip out.Was a great day and caught heaps...Man i love fishing,it's as exciting as going on a good herping trip as you never know what you're going to catch and see.

We should organise a charter boat in NSW somewhere and have an APS fishout We could get the Vics come up by charter bus and the QLD bunch do the same!

Agreed swampie,come up to Qld,the fishing and fish variety is much better plus we have the barrier reef if we're talking Nth Qld and 74 beautiful islands in the Whitsunday group.Plenty of fishing charter boats and places to stay.I have a boat but needs a little fine tuning before i head out in it again....An APS fishing bash sounds mighty fine to me

T&R fishing is the best... i used to be a member of ANSA when i live in yeppoon QLD. soome hardcore light tackle specialists there... and very nice guys.
more than a few held Aust records at the time. one for a 4.5 or a 5.4 kilo barra on ONE KILO line.
Best i ever did was a 9.2 kilo golden trevally on 4 kilo, and a 26 kilo Samson fish in south west wa on 10 kilo line.
Anyone that hasn't mangrove bashed for Barra and Jack is missing out.

They did have a good XXXX last time I was in Brisbane. It was a anniversary brew of some kind, and was absolutely fantastic

I think I did the same once, on 2kg line though. The reel was too weak for the fish. I caught it by accident. I was trying to catch something else at the time.

Nice Tiger Shrek. Unfortunately I spent most of my time on the wire, which I just loved by the way. My biggest trace job was a 575kg tiger. the hardest was a 220kilo tiger.
