Hahaha good to see I'm not the only one. I just had my jungle out 2nd night in a row without blood she is getting better although there were a few random strikes at nothing

I have a red bulb on 24/7 aswell for my woma and over jungle click clack

start of wearing gloves or socks on ya hands mate, mine never tried to go me while my hands were covered.

How long have you had your python?

yeh socks on hands works well they dont even strike. but i believe in getting them used to the whole process so i dont use gloves or socks.
and what do you mean in what way did i get her used to her?

just keep handerling him every 2nd or 3rd night and dont be scared, a bite doesnt hurt much

I am still working on that one haha. I just try handling every day or 2 she still strikes and stuff but she is most edgy when I move my hand donuts all about her getting use to my movments

this may not be the case. but my jungle has striked at many things but never me, unless she had my hand in her sight then i move closer to her face then she strikes,(so maybe just put your hand in and let it come to you)
always go for the tail with open hands and scoop them up real fast and don"t touch the top side of body or i think they feel threatened/trapped. (i think, this is my first jungle so it could be way off) so key points are very very slow movements mixed with you constantly putting your hand in the enclosure so they think you are nothing but another smell and something to climb on. i feed my snakes in the enclosure and never had any strike at me in the enclosure cause i am very slow when maintaining/removing them. sorry for the blab-a-thon.(been drinking all night, and just bored)

Mate, put it in its enclosure and leave it until it settles. I always use a hook to remove any of mine (more so for my benefit incase i get something that may hurt if it tags me!). they all get feed in their enclosure and could count the bites on one hand... and than the other faf!

Try to keep him moving by offering hand over hand so as soon as he is at the end off one hand your other is there so he stays on the move. Also try to keep him moving away from you so he focuses on the environment around him rather than the big warm animal holding him.One last thing is to always make slow steady movements as fast actions will scare him and put him into defense mode.

Something else that may be a factor is hunger. I sometimes find that individuals that have a strong feed response will get snappier the closer they get to feeding day. Also they can learn to associate opening the cage with feeding. Increasing food and feeding them in another enclosure may help.

I have a Jungle we named Snappy due to its nature but over time (now 17mths old) with slightly increasing its feed and regular handling it has settled into a placid carpet similar to my bredli.

I prefer to remove it from the enclosure with a hook and once out handle it with bare hands so it gets used to the feel. Feeding regime can play a big part with its habits if it isnt fed enough or after a feed they are best left alone for a couple of days.

Keep on handling it and perserver with it . You get used to the bites over time.

If you've had it only for 2 weeks chances are it's still settling into the new environment and a bit stressed. I'd suggest, if you didn't already do so on purchase, to make sure it's in a room with low traffic and leave it totally alone for a week or 2 only disturbing it if it needs substrate changed, feeding or water.
