Hi Kingfisher, on the topic of your parents, get them to have a look at this thread (hi mum and dad)(email mum a link to the thread ) so they know that you have sound advise from experienced keepers right here at your finger tips.
And if your in the brisbane area see if you can get them to the reptile expo on the gold coast this weekend, talk to some people get info and see if you can get your parents to handle a snake or two and dispell some myths maybe.

Shane, Thank you very much but I'm actually In the Western Western Sydney area . So I cant go to the reptile expo, but oh well...
My Mum is alright with the snakes and all that it's just my dad and my older Sister, My older sister is scared of them and My Dad just doesn't like them so that's the problem.
But I may be able to go to any upcoming Reptile expos
