In the lab at 5am

I couldn't sleep so I broke my usual rule of not getting out of bed before the big hand of the clock gets to the seven and drove off at 4.30 am to get some work done in the lab on some geckoes. Here I am... no one else is here...Why isn't anyone else here?

Argh!!! I'm going crazy!!! Everything is automated! There's nothing to do to the gecko for another half hour!!! There's no one in the building other than the cleaner and I've already given up on talking to her... well, I suppose it figures that people willing to clean up students' mess starting at 4am each morning might be a little boring, even if cheerful...
I tried photographing myself eating pizza next to the no food and drink because of the cyanide sign... I'm out of ideas!!! Can't even ask for advice from the APS people because no one is here! Have to occupy self with typing crap to no one on my own thread without hope of response...

Did someone say I'm slipping into insanity? Oh, no one here, it must have been my subconcious speaking.

Hix, I came in this early because I couldn't sleep in bed. No way I'm going to be able to sleep in the lab. It's okay, I've started slipping into one of those types of insanity where you laugh at everything, it's a bit of fun I made a thingo with pictures of myself eating pizza next to the cyanide sign, where it cycles through them. It looks like I'm eating and then get sick
Hahaha, it's stupid what I find amusing sometimes. I'm also dosed up on caffeine now, thanks to my good friend Dr Pepper, so I'm sort of buzzing. Actually, I think that's a big part of why I couldn't sleep. Someone was telling me that if you eat lots of chocolate before bed you'll have crazy dreams, I don't really like chocolate, but I ate some to see if it would work, but I also had Dr Pepper and scotch. It took me ages to get to sleep and when I did I had horrific nightmares! I think I had about an hour and a half of sleep and then decided the lab is the best place to be this morning

Go the Dr Pepper! I've already gone through a 600ml bottle and (technically) I haven't even started work yet.

And if your in the l;ab and can't sleep, I'm sure you could find some chemicals to aid you in that endeavour. Ether, chloroform, CO2 etc......

No, perhaps it was the cyanide poisoning. I took a photo of my 5.30 am pizza in the lab breakfast next to the don't eat here because you'll die a painful cyanide death warning. I'll post it in the next couple of days.

the students thought i was crazy......that and i was talking to the rats :? but it was when they talked back that they left :shock:

they usually send me home early on fridays....wonder why....?
