hi i need advice on whether my spotted pythons will still breed if i interupted their mating?:?

Its my first time

yes i think they were locked, i went to pull my male out and she came 2!

Hope you didn't hurt his penis as the end is arrow shaped so he decides when to release not the female

How on Earth did you manage that? I figure the only way was if they were snuggled up in the hide box, in which case you should have had an idea and left them be. I dont handle at all during mating season unless necessary.

Mating only means they can possibly have eggs, your male could "mate" with your female every day through winter and if she doesn't ovulate, their will be nothing, and thats quite common, she may also just have a clutch of slugs... disturbing 1 mating doesn't really mean much in the big scheme of things, it's far better if females have numerous matings throughout the season.

I did a similar thing last season. My two spotties were hiding under the artifical turf and I could only see one so went to pick him up to realise she was there as well. They came apart and I realised what I'd done. Panicked a little, but they seamed to be ok. Caught them mating a couple more times and ended up with a clutch of eleven perfect eggs. All hatched all was good.

Err....OUCH! Glad I'm not a guy, can't relate to that kind of pain, I can only imagine  ...What did you need to take him out for?

No worries mate. Hopefully all will be good. It was my first breeding season last year. It is a steep learning curve.
