Have you had a quick look through the past forums and stuff? Just out of interest, it is good reading and you may find info that will answer other questions you may have. On feeding adult mice, maybe 45cm is a bit small. A Velvet rat or a couple of large pinkie rats very 7 or 8 days would be what your looking at I'd imagine.
