im going back home for a week and a half.. and my room mate is too.. so that means that the house will be empty... well minus my snakes.. i didnt want to put them under the stress of travelling hours in the car.. and having to transport enclosures/lighting etc..
So my question is.. is it alright to leave my 2 and 1/2 year old bredli and my 3 yr old jungle for 1.5 weeks?
The jungle shed about a week ago and i havent fed him since.. he just pooped..
the bredli just shed an hour ago, and i fed her a smallish rat so she should poop in a few days... im probably leaving a week from now..
i know snakes will go ok without feed for this long.. and im sure there will be enough water over that time.. Im just a worried mother.. will they be ok?

... if anything happens... your in BIG trouble!! lol... well whats the worst that could happen? maybe an escapee..? or a globe sets the house on fire! haha
Im a bit of a paranoid pessimist!

As long as the globes are secure, the snakes are fed and watered and the tank is escape proof, theres no need to worry :)

A lot of members on here only see their snakes once a week due to work,

I often go home to the country (from the city for uni) for about 4 days and leave mine, they're always fine :) towards the end I start to stress, so when I get home I race too them...yeah they couldn't care less I was gone :p as long as I give em a mouse now I'm home!

Well how long have the enclosures gone without setting the house on fire so far? As people have said, you'll be fine. I only see my babies one day a week at the moment due to work. They aren't the ones who have issues with the separation, they are perfectly fine. It's me who misses them :p

lol well im in the country "wagga wagga" for uni, and im going home to sydney for a week and a half coz thats the longest i can go without seeing my snakes and my horse.. i just wanted some reassurance.. so i dont feel so guilty the entire time.. thanks everyone :)

I just came back from two weeks in Melbourne.

No problems at all when I came back ;)
