hey guys just wondering what could be the problem with my md and coastal not eating. the coast shed 20/5/10 and has had 2 feeds and hasnt taken anything i offer him. confused. its the same as my md she shed a while ago cant remember and she was feeding fine then she just doesnt want anything. so please give me ideas

i cant afford a thermosat yet but its in my list when tax time comes. but my md has a light on her for 6 hours and a heat mat on her 24/7. i got a funny feeling that she is going to shed soon but there are no signs as of yet. the coastal and a baby still so he is in a click clack and has a heat mat on half his cage 24/7. if this helps

it sounds like its to cold .. all else fails buy a few of those strip thermometers they use for fish tanks to get an idea what the temps are. i have a coastal born in jan eating one fuzzy rat every four days day temps are 30-32 deg night is around 14-17 deg.

Do you have a thermometer? How can you have two snakes and cannot afford a thermostat shouldnt the equipment for looking after your reptiles have come before you took on your pets.I dont know what the temps in your area are like but if it is cold I dont know that waiting till tax time will cut it.Not being nasty but I dont know how you can take on two reptiles if you cant tell what the tempratures are forgive me if you have a thermometer but you didnt post any temps.

do you have a thermometer or a temp gun, check hot and cold ends, I run my hot end at 32'C to 35'C and cold cooler the better the snake should be able regulate its own temp. Other than that it could be stress related. I probably would say that a thermostat would be a good investment as you should get a more consistent heat gradient.

lol it gets quite a few degrees colder in ipswich than brisbane. even colder the closer you are to amberely

After looking at some of your previous posts it appears that you bought 4 snakes(not two) and that your md (dunno if it is the same one as above) and had some irregular sheds and the last was around the 10 march.
If you are still having problems how bout you post some pics and a few more details.e.g age of snakes, how many are not eating etc.... etc...
Also just looking at your other posts,is this the same MD that wasnt eating in january?
Knowing your temps is a must, even more so if this snake is having problems feeding and (if it is the same snake)should have been checked out by now!

I would say they're too cold - I live out your way, so I know the ambient temps. Get a thermometer and get it sorted.
