I brought this girl home today; she’s a little over a year old and has an excellent temperament. She’s the 12th python I’ve had, but the only one I have at the moment. The car ride home was about an hour and she got into a defensive position when I took her out of the bag but didn’t bite. Once out she wanted to explore all around my hands and arms and was calm. I offered her a hide rock in a click clack to go into but she didn’t want to hide. She explored around it for a bit before curling up next to the hide rock and has been sitting there out in the open ever since. She reminds me a lot of my boy Prince who passed away last year; he was the same when I got him and for the rest of his life. He was very chilled out and inquisitive like Alice. Now I’ll leave her to settle for a couple of weeks. I brought home some food with her, so I’ve got enough to feed her for 10 weeks once she’s settled.
