We have a 7 month old Bearded dragon whose tail has gone limp/bad. My son thinks it may have been caused by her not sheding properaly, i suspect it may be the other beardie in the enclosure with her. They are the same age but this one is a bit smaller. Any advise on hoew to treat would be appreciated.

Use some betadine and keep the enclosure spotless.

Ring the vet if it gets worse.

seperating them might not be such a bad idea, if you think thats the problem.

the tail looks dead. could of been caused by the other beardie bitting the tail. say has been said it might be safer to seperate them

Yep, the tail needs to be removed to prevent septicemia from killing the animal... the top of the tail looks very thin?

vet now!! wheres your location? if you go to the wiki section on the top menu bar there is a list of most of the specialist reptile vets around the country.

I think you should take your beardie to the vet as it could be gangrene setting in which is an infection whivh will need antibiotics to clear it up depending how bad the infection is. I would also say your bearded dragon will end up losing most of its tail cause of this incident. I would say keep both bearded dragons housed sperately for good.
