Newbie Questions about Woma's

So I'm looking into the idea of getting a Woma as my first python. I have only ever kept lizards before (Breeding beardies and thick-tails) and recently started to look into the idea of a snake and Woma's seem to be a nice, generally placid and easily maintainable python. I have looked for information all over the web but most sites just give snippets of information here and there. Im looking for tips and ideas about their husbandry, even recommendations for other pythons. Every tip is welcomed.

I know about the locales but they seem to have a lot of variation even from one area. Which ones generally have a strong banding but a lighter, contrasting body?
