About 12 months ago, I brought into my home, a 3 yr old coastal carpet.. I bought him off a guy who didnt look after him at all, he was barely fed, never had water, never had heat etc.. Now he is in his 3.5ft enclosure with timed heating, lighting, water, hides etc.. He is fed weekly.... I have been told because of his bad start, his growth could have been affected, obviously it has been, as he is now 4 years old, and only 3ft long.. He is a very healthy snake now that he is being well cared for.. but Im just wondering, will his growth catch up eventually? Or would it have been permanently scarred? His condition when I got him was terrible.. Will continued regular feeding help him grow?? Im not concerned if he stays small, but Im just concerned if it will be an issue.. Im by no means an expert on snakes.. which is why i am asking some advice...
