Just thought i would ask the general consensus what other hobbies or interests they are into?

Mine are riding bike trials, freeride mountain biking (hucking off stairs, skateparks ect) keeping cichlids (fish of south and central america also the great lakes of Africa), fishing, drinking beer, and i also play indoor soccer (footsall). I used to race R/C cars electric and fuel but it got too expensive to keep up with the advancing technology in the hobby, now i do it online cause its cheap and lazy at www.virtualrc.com.

Cheers, Alan.

hmmmmm
i love violent sports, any adrenalin sport, just found a new passion in shooting :p, just starting kick boxing and muay thai (had to find something for my lazy ass to do, lol), love invertebrates, love art, photography, wine and theatre going to clubs and pubs seeing live bands (do so often it is a hobby)

um.,.......there is more to (just cant think of them right now ;) )

Reefkeeping. An awesome hobby that nearly matches herping in the $$$ stakes. I have a 6x2x2 reef with 1200w of lighting over it. I have 2 pumps to create current in the tank that turn over 12000l/h each!!! Anyway I could go on and on......

Here's a pic ....

Due to current financial restraints...sitting on my fat **** is about all I can do.

Shooting's great fun isn't it Bry? I did competition shooting for a while when I was younger but had to give it up due to the new licencing restrictions...look forward to starting again some day - think I'll go down to the Military Rifle Range if I do start again though :) Of course, see first sentence of this post as to why that'll probably never happen.

I'm into fire arts at the moment, and am particularly concentrating on double staff and contact staff at the moment. Heres a pic of me doing using fire chains (poi). All this stuff is deceptively easy to learn!

Also, theres a really good double staff video at www.rubberheart.com called "Soy on Everything part II" .

Buck,
Awesome reef set up you have there.
Do you find that the corals and anenomes last very long in display tanks? Or are you forever replacing it?

Neil

african cichlids.. DJing (semi-retired).. gym.. thailand......

thats a nice tank there buck. I had a 4x2x2 reef tank for about 10 years but converted it to an african tank end of last year. upkeep and time was too much for me.

bry, where abouts are you doing your muay thai training? Im finding hard to find a good one in the city. I was planning on spending a week here this year but Im not even sure if its still there after dec 26 http://www.rawaimuaythai.com/muaythai_training_programs.html

Thanks Neil. Most of the corals I have I have had for near 12 months now, some actually close to two years. There is really no reason why corals and anenomes can't live for years in a reef setup as long as their requirements are being met. Most people who have little success with corals etc. either don't understand the basic requirements or don't provide them. I think most people become attracted to the colour of marine fish and decide to put a few corals in there also - not realising that the requirements are alot more specific than to just keep fish.

well motorbikin ( my Aprilia RS 250 nearly maxed out at 189kmph down calder highway   ) camping hunting and workin all fit around my love of herps,

Bushwalking, beer, collecting old cameras, photography and digital imaging, beer and fossicking. I sometimes fish while drinking beer as well, it's a very versatile drink.

I like bow hunting, shooting, downhill mountainbiking and anything that ends with a fiery explosion. I also dont mind a bit of poi and fire blowing. Have to say I like the fire blowing more. Oh yeah and the occasional swilling of fine imported absinth.

Absinth? Is that the green stuff that turned van Gogh into a froot loop?
Can you legaly buy the stuff in Oz
