Hey guys (gals)

A few weeks back, I noticed that my 2yr BHP female looked a bit fatter on her rear section. She weighs approx 2.2Kg, and is around 5-6ft long I thought it a bit strange and thought maybe it was just the food digesting through her towards the rear end, however after seeing her poop, still remained quite obviously swollen (although not out of control swollen - if that makes sense).

Anyway after about a week, she went back to normal.

Q. Is it possible for them to ovulate, even though I havnt cooled her. Naturally the cool end temps dropped a little during the cooler weather, but only by a degree or two and only really of a night time.

Cheers
Colby

Ovulation is unlikely in the scenario you have described. It is possible you saw follicle growth, but ovulation is pretty hard to mistake if you saw her ovulate you wouldn't need to ask if it was ovulation.

Has she been with a male,it is possible for females to become gravid without cooling them.Considering shes only 2year old i doubt she is gravid...Ive got a female Port Mac here that i actually thought was gravid, sounds like the same as whats happening with yours..MARK
