mmmm, bunnings is very rough when cutting to size, not square, ect..

i get mine cut at a local cabinet maker, it will be a bit more expensive, but worth it. (i have a mate whos a cabinet maker) but you will get a much better finish. they get cut on the cnc, which cuts perfectly.

here's some i made, photo doesn't do then any justice, and its a bit messy in there..

Here are a few I built Ryan.
These are a little bigger than what your after, but I have also built some 4 footers as well.
As for wiring, I use Reptipets pre-wired lights and thermostates, just screw them on and plug them together.

If you want my plans for my 1100 cm long enclosures PM me your email and I will send you the blueprints.

Cheers Andy.

wow they are huge, thanks for sharing pics, 1100 cm is 11 metres, are they really that long:shock:

No Ryan 1100cms is 1.1 meters, they are 10cms short of 4 foot (3 foot 8 long)
Ive found them to be perfect for my Womas.
The plans I have, use 4 x 2400 by 1200 sheets of malamine, this will make 4 enclosures.
It cost me $350 to get the 4 sheets cut to size and the edging done on the face sides.
Thats $87.50 per enclosure, without the glass, glass track, vents and wiring.

To only make 2 enclosures it will take 3 sheets due to the waste created (off cuts).
But if you use one extra sheet you get 2 extra enclosures.
Makes sence to me ;)

The enclosures I the photos are 6 foot long, I dont have any picks og the 1100 cm ones.
Although they are made in the exact style and color.

Where did you get the timber andy?
Bunnings only has MDF and white melamine.

Andy, that's a nice setup. If you don't mind, can you send me your blueprints and place where you got the cuts made etc (if you live in sydney). I am interested in making a few myself. Thanks mate.

I got the meamine from a timber yard near me.
When you want better colors, stay away from bunnings, lol.
Any timber yard should / would be able to get it for you.

Melamine comes in a few colours but they are more expensive than the white.

i use coloured for my front and sides and white for the back

which you dont see anyway..

Yeah the coloured stuff is about twice the price usually, if not more than twice. From memory i could get white HMR melamine for about $45/sheet, black was $95/sheet and cherry (colour of andyscotts) was about $115/sheet.

Oh yeah, on the note Ryan, make sure you get the HMR melamine not standard stuff.
