10K??? ahh no, try 5k and in fourtnightly payments (of about $500 a fourtnight), so no big purchases (unless they layby it anyway) for anyone popping out a baby!!!
It was 3k when I had my son, and all of that went on paying off the credit card for all the purchases we had to get to bring him home, car seat, cot, bedding, nappies, EVERYTHING!!
It really bugs me when people assume that younger women are getting pregnant just for the money, they'd have to be pretty brain dead to not realise how much cost is involved in actually raising a child. It's a lot smaller number than people think.
Your snakes look very cool though, is the heat mat you have one of those ones with the inbuilt heat control? How accurate is it? have you done the testing of temps yet? I'm a bit concerned about one not being accurate enough, especially over night or in a room with different temps throughout the day. Can you actually set it to a specific temperature, or only like a dial (thinking those wall unit air cons where you sent a 'level' but it doesn't have a set temp, just cools like 30% below the outside temp) so in that type of heat control it would change depending on the main room temp. Just curious, don't have any shops here to go and look at them in person, and most online places suck for showing actual pics of the product so you can see what it has or hasn't got.
