Poisonous venomous what does it matter!!!
My wife is the licencee in this place, and is only licenced to have non venomous snakes at the moment. Maybe one day she might look at getting a class 2 licence. (or class B whatever it is.lol) to get a venomous snake.
We do have a stack of photos of wild venomous snakes from around our area though.

Here is a RBBS i photographed while fishing a couple of months ago. It is quite uncommon, but not unheard of to find RBBS around here in winter.

Google's my friend8)

  • Venomous, refers to animals that deliver (often, inject) venom into their prey when hunting or as a defense mechanism.
  • Poisonous, on the other hand, describes plants or animals that are harmful when consumed or touched.

Ha ha, facts or common sense have no place here :D

My favourite- Australia doesn't have any poisonous snakes, you can eat them all!

Awesome. I love poisonous/venomous/dangerous death adders. I would absolutely love a pet death adder.
Ive seen youtube footage of them taking there food with lightning feed.

Hey awesome. I never knew that. Strangely enough, after reading it, it seems like a real no brainer.....:oops:

Brilliant elapid@ I especially love the RBBS. I see a lot of these while im fishing and they are awesome. I will have to try and dig up a few photos of them.
Thats a cute little lowland copperhead. I have seen a few of these when i am fishing also, and they are the most placid out of all the snakes i encounter.
Here is a bit of video footage i took of one last summer while fishing the kiewa river in NE victoria. At first it flattened its head out, at the same time i jumped sideways.....then within about 10 seconds it settled down , i settled down, and it just went about its own business looking for food in the long grass. It couldnt of cared less that i was 2 feet away sticking a camera in its face. A beautiful snake.

And a tiger snake. The old tiger snake is a completely different kettle of fish than the lowland copperhead!! He wasnt impressed one bit with having his photo taken and couldn't get out of there quick enough!!
