Today I noticed that my 9 month old mac wasn't flicking his tongue as he was moving around. He also kinda did some weird jerky movements with his head.
I picked him up a moment ago (I really didn't want to because he is in preparation to slough) and he wasn't flicking his tongue at all. It also looks as if he might have a little bit of swelling on the front of his bottom jaw (it's really hard to tell because he is so small).
I just checked on him and now he is flicking his tongue but I'm still concerned.
Could he have mouth rot? (I will take him to the vet if necessary but I want to wait until he has shed).
His enclosure is around 30/31 warm end, 22 cool end and around 24-26 in the middle of the enclosure. (The enclosure is 2ft long...no I do not keep him in a click clack).
I'm feeding him on a hopper mouse once a week. He has never missed a feed and I have never had any problems with him.
