Hi everyone,

Have a pair of blue tongues who I have been told will breed this year. Was wondering weather someone can tell me how I can tell if my girl is pregnant. Also once she is pregnant is there anything different you have to do, feeding etc. Thanks:D

They'll bask a lot more frequently than normal, obviously get bigger particularly around the abdomen area right before the back legs. They'll eat more when pregnant and meals should be supplimented with calcium every second or third feed.
Signs to look for are bite scars on the females head and shoulder area which indicates they could have mated.
Mating starts around Sep and can go until early summer, babies are usually born early in the year from late Jan to March.
