I'll be getting a PS4, and I can't wait. I had the PS1, PS2 and Xbox, and i currently have the PS3 and 360. But I won't be getting an Xbox One. I'm done with Microsoft's consoles.

You can't play your PS3 games on PS4 though. Though you'll be able to play PS1, PS2 and PS3 games on your PS4 with Gaikai streaming.

Also, Sony never considered any DRM or online checks. Andrew House, Shuhei Yoshida and Scott Rohde have all said so. Andrew House recently said so again.

Have been a xbox guy since my beloved sega stopped making consoles, but this gen im going PS4. PS4 is around 50% more powerful, has faster and more game centric GDDR 5 RAM, and has a far more advanced GPU which will allow for better looking games for Sony. Add to that Sonys inhouse developers such as Naughty Dog are well ahead of MS's.
But the big one is MS demanding manditory kinect on all the time which is a microphone and video camera listening and watching you.

I thought Microsoft recently backtracked on that also? I think you can turn it off now. I've ordered the ps4, I've been with Sony since the ps1, and never had problems with them I.e. RROD.

Can't wait for watch dogs, will be interested in the feature film for that and GT

The idea was that you could turn it on at any time by saying "xbox on" or whatever. But I agree, really creepy.

That's a reason why ps4 is cheaper, because you don't have to buy the Eye or whatever it's called. Which I'm glad about. Never used an Eye, never used Move or Kinect

Is the ps4 actually going to play games as 1080p? Unlike what the current ps3 that runs 720, xbox 360 is also full 1080.

The only reason i will adventually own both is due to some of the titles not coming out on the other, alliances with gaming companys really sucks.

Some announced games for both consoles will run natively at 1080p, and some at 720p. Will probably see more and more run at full 1080p as time goes on.

The Xbox 360 does not run games at full 1080p, they are native 720p, just like the PS3, and then it upscales it to 1080p. It's not true 1080p.

Anyone want to add each other on PS3 or 360?

I have always been a ps fanboy, never owened a xbox but the xboxone hands down beats the ps4 this time round with the exclusive games they have secured and the way their multiplayer is going to run, not to mention the fact that such a large company has changed drastic decisions ( internet connection etc ) to improve their console based off player reception.
