what code red said.

maybe remove her, candle bad ones, whipe off mould and moisture, and change substrate no verm. if the bad looking one are still ok with viens then maybe incubate them all.

isn't it just a natural meturnal instinct for mum to pee to raise humidity, which will then make what ever substrat and surounding environment that the keeper has provided way too wet for the eggs.

so should she incubate them? or remove bad and current substrat and give back to her?

Heres a pic of good eggs (I am sure you've seen similar before). See no green, no fur and they are plump but not distended. Green, furry, sucken and smelly is bad. These were done on a 40:60 mix water/perlite.

Thats how most eggs should look, even a week before hatching...I cant understand why so many people seem to get mouldy, green looking eggs only after a couple weeks of incubating...Unless they are not fertile in the first place and the perlite-vermiculite is mixed correctly, then there shouldnt be any hassles....MARK

Okay, by looking at those 2 pic's, all i can see is a couple of eggs that look like they are no good, very saturated and have been for a few days. If any look good still, i would try save those, atleast for the experience.

Personally, i would remove the female, soak her in a warm bath for about 10 to 15 mins.

Then dry her really well. Really well, paper towel works well.
Place on high heat inside a clean plastic tub with plenty of dry newspaper, around 32/33.

I would set up a much drier vermiculite mix and place in incubator to stabilise temps.

Remove the bad eggs by cutting them away.

Completely dry the remaining good looking eggs and place in egg box.

Then completely remove all cage items and clean enclosure really well.

F10 is brilliant.

Once clean and dry, turn on heating source and leave it to dry out.

When enclosure is 100% dry, you can replace female with a couple good hide boxes and leave her for a few days.

Maybe offer food once she starts to explore the enclosure again.

If your lucky, you may still get some hatchies.

I would recommend keeping an eye on her and provide some high temps for a few weeks, she may have breathed in mould spores and with the wet conditions and bacteria inside her enclosure she may end up with a respiratory infection if you don't provide higher than usual temps.

If you have any problems decifering my explanation or need to talk over the phone, PM me and i'll give you a contact number for me.

Good luck, I hope this helps

Mick

thanks, everything there seems pretty well explained and straight forward.
Ive just grabbed her out and shes in a tub.
and ive gone through and seperated what eggs i could, and wiped them all down and candled what i could.
some of the ones i thought were gonners dont look so bad, they are just stained on one side, and fine on the sides that were touching the other eggs.
next comes the cleaning :)

Nah, blonde macs, near full term

Just goes to show how deceptive pictures can be, with regard to size, they look alot larger than Antaresia eggs.

Congrat's, i'm sure Maccies will be easy to get feeding pretty quickly.

Pic's required when you can.

Cheers

Thats such a waste IMO.........:|

it is.
though ive done it step by step how its been done with her before.
ive been reading and reading and getting as much information as possible for ages, but the majority of my faith was with the person i got her off and how he'd been successful with her for the last 2 years. because this is my 1st year breeding and i can only take the advice im given.
at least ill have a better understanding if i ever decide to breed again in the future.

Dont believe what everybody tell's you when you purchase a snake from them.
Dont give up, I know it leaves a bad taste in your mouth, but tou learn from mistakes and you did the best you knew how.
Build yourself an incubator for next year and try again.
What have you done with the eggs ??

yeah. there are so many opinions on every simple little aspect.
i wont give up, i'll formulate my own opinions on what works and what doesnt over time. but atm i just have to go on what im told, what ive read and what i know.
ive got an incubator built and ready, im just giving it one last test run making sure it sits on a constant temp and im gonna stick the good eggs in there.

thanks for the help, all.

pythons will pee on their eggs, to raise the humidity.

Was told this only yesterday by a snake breeder/trader, he runs a reptile shop near me. he said they can even grab a big drink and spit on the eggs if they don't think they are wet enough. Leave it up to mum, she knows what she's doing, they've been doing it for thousands of years!!!!!
