hey guys, i have a 1 yr old bredli male, and recently ive noticed his breathing is really squeky, weazy, it seems he is breathing at a normal rate and he is eating extremly well, and growing fast and sheds fine, it doesnt seem to affect him at all, but when he breathes its really weazy/squeeky. im wanting to know if it could be a respiratory infection, im pretty sure its not his skin expanding, cause he isnt due for a shed for a little while yet? has anyone experienced this before??

only when it has been a respiratory infection on my jungle x diamond any moisture from the nose? bubbles etc how long has this been happening

narr no bubbles or moisture, its not really loud, only hear it when he is close to me, what is the cause for respiratory infection??

i was just reading ( care of australian reptiles in captivity by john weigel ) it says that respiratory infection is caused by excessively cold or damp areas, he is in a thermostat controlled enclosure and there is only a small water bol in their, it cold be possible for a breeze to reach the enclosure but nothing excessively cold, it also says they have mucus or wet nose and hold head in a elevated position, i havent noticed any of those system, but it does say it sounds like wet hissing, hich is what mines doing, ill just have to keep an eye on him.

i had the same thing happen to a carpet python of mine many many years ago. and me being the typical motherly type i took her to the vets straight away. it was a loose scale stuck in her nostril from when she shed a few days ago. everytime she would breath it was a whistle sound...
not saying thats wat it is for you. but sometimes its just something simple and not always bad.
all the best.
