Rat Cost

How much do you guys pay for your rats and rodents?
Also how are they packaged?

I am only referring to frozen rodents.

Just curious on the prices in the east and how they would compare to WA prices.

i pay $10 for 10 90g rabbits and $10 for 30 adult rats
god i love mates rates

Your price farmdog does sound a bit dear but not too bad since it is coming from a shop.
Magpie your prices sound good, are they from a retail place

I used to pay $6.50 for adults $4 for medium. When i saw the light i built some rat cages and started breeding my own i think thats the cheapest option.

im get medium rats for 3 bucks and large for 4.50 from a pet shop guess its not to bad

I would breed my own food only that, it no point with 1 snake taking rats

Well i used to breed my own but having always had a sizable collection i found the rodents to bemore work than the animals you feed them to.Plus they stink,can bite and are just generally a pain in the rectum,so i now get my frozen rodents sent to me from Matt from www.animalattraction.com.au ,he has good prices and if you can get cheaper he'll do his best to match that or better.They've always arrived well packaged and never a problem.Luckily i have all my animals taking f/t rodents and just got one fusy jugle onto rats after a long time battle with her just taking mice.If you only have a few animals i would recommend breeding your own and you then als o know what they've been fed and hence no problems with worms etc should be a problem"also depends on how much time you have and how lazy you are lol"Hope this helps...
