i breed my own rodents, i cost it at $15 per week, shavings + food.
Time is a definite factor uncosted - also had to get an extra wheelie bin for the waste shavings.
Co2 outfit cost a few hundred intially + $40 a refill and $100 pa hire of the cylinder.
With the cost some weeks you might 'bank' no rats - some weeks you can easily 'bank' $100 worth.

Most important for me is to know what I am feeding my animals.
