Regurgitated rat *eww*

Just found my male bredli regurgitate a fuzzy rat *spews* My dog was jumping up at the door and to my surprise I found it...

It was his first time eating a fuzzy rat so maybe it was to big? He has had it down like 4days and the hot end is fine (I actually turned it upto 35 so he could digest it) I'm hoping he isn't sick... He is currently hiding away in his cylinder now....

What could of done it?

I should of said it was basically just the skin.. the insides looked like they were gone and it was only really flabby skin lol... and there was brown stuff on its head... I don't think he would of pooed it out and the skin wasn't yet digested? I don't know :? He did have a pinkie 6days before it and he only pooed out white so maybe he actually did a poo and it came out with it?

stress dog maybe probably!, was it defrosted properly it might have been starting to rot, 35c I would drop to about 30c keep an eye it leave it for A day or two and try again.

Yeah it was defrosted properly. Since it was his first fuzzy I put it upto 35 for a day then put it back to 32c which it normally is on. It was the first time ive bought these rats so maybe it was a bad one? Since my main stock of rats were out of stock.. He isn't bugged much either so I don't know why he would be stressed.. He is a little bugger so I leave him alone and only pick him up when cleaning his cage..

Why would I take a damn picture... I've never smelt anything like it I put it in a bag and chucked it right away.

funny my little hypo girl did the same thing yesteday, it was like the skin of a rat, but all the insides were digested. so odd. hav never seen this in 7 yrs of keeping snakes hey. weird stuff. lol. oh and it stank.

That's exactly like mine.. I don't know if it was actually the skin or it was hair... All the insides were gone but only the skin or hair was left.. Do you think they will be ok? I guess I'll have to feed him 3pinkie rats instead of a fuzzie.. If I feed him only two pinkies he loses his bump after a hour in the hot end so I thought he was ready for fuzzies :?

I wouldn't try and feed her again for at least another 3 weeks incase it was a regurg, I read they need time to rebuild up the acid in their stomach otherwise another them doing again is likely which isn't good on their system.

I wasn't planning on feeding him for a while anyway. Hopefully my female doesn't regurg now while im away for the weekend :lol:

i will be leaving mine a week until feeding again. to be honest i am not worried, i know she is comin up for a shed soon. the rats head was missing too, it was stinky bulk crap type stuff. really odd hey. lol.

Fresh water every day after they regurgitate for a week. Can't remember why but it's what i was told when it happened to me with a woma.
