Hey guys, well my 2 year old jungle python is always an excellent feeder. I feed him around every 10 days and usually 3 days later he defaecates and urinates about 2 'lots'

I keep him in a vivarium with reptile sand and usually feed him up on the branch but last time i fed him he was on the ground. I thawed out the rat in warm water so it was wet and as he was constricting it it dropped on the sand and got covered in sand, i attempted to take it away from him to rinse it off but he was holding on to it too tightly.

It has been 5 days now since his meal and usually he would have produced faeces by now so im beginning to feel a little concerned. I THINK he might be less active from what i can tell but im not sure what he is doing at night. I dont know if i am being paranoid or if i should be really concerned, does anyone know signs or symptoms i should be looking out for? I work at a vet so will quite happily take him in to work with me if it would be required but not too sure what we would be able to do to diagnose sand impaction. What are your thoughts? thanks :)
