Scab or dried skin on Carpet Python's nose [PICS]

He shed about a week ago and seemed to get it all off.
Eating and acting normally.
Is this just remnant of shedding or is there something wrong here?

Looks like a scab but did he have an injury there to start with?

No prior injuries.
It actually looks like too much skin was shed as the centre of the area seems to be lower than the white flakey surrounds.

By the looks of it i'd say he's shed two layers of skin, let it heal and he'll be fine.

Just a quick follow up in case anyone finds this in a search and has a similar issue...
The white scab/scales appeared again on his head but in a different location after the shed following the above photos. He just shed again last night and everything is back to normal on his head. Here is his head skin from last night.

Not sure what is causing it but he didn't seem out of character while he had them.
