Or go into brumation..? Whichever you prefer.

My stimmy hasn't eaten in 4 weeks (however he is coming up for a shed) and one of my Diamonds hasn't eaten in about 3 weeks.

This is my first Winter owning snakes and I'm wondering whether or not it would be a good idea to let them hibernate.

These are their ages:
Stimmy - 1 yr 4 mnths
Woma - 6-7 months
Diamonds - 2-3 months
Coastal - Not sure exactly but she's about 2.5 foot?

I wouldn't let the Diamonds or the Woma, I'd start brumation at about 1-2 years.
But that's just me. Others may think differently.

it seems my childreni arnt giving me the option to pick, they wont eat since the change in the weather the bredli are still eating ..... i offer every now and again on the off chance they will eat but i think its a done deal till the weather starts to warm up again

Chantelle, I've heard the same thing, about the 1-2 years. I guess if Dexter(stimson) refuses to eat for a few more weeks I'll just leave him alone.
No problems with getting the Woma to eat and I'll just keep an eye on the diamonds :)

Yeah, IgotFrogs, same thing here, Dexter just won't eat, however most of the others will. Naughty Anataresia..

I guess I'll just see how he goes.

Good luck.
Sometimes it's easy to stress when your babies aren't eating when you want them to. :)

I know right... my Dad keeps telling me to stress less, he had 2 childreni who didn't eat for months back when he kept snakes. I just can't help it haha, they are my babies!

I agree with all that's been said - better to keep warm first 1-2 yrs. That said, antaresias seem to make up their own mind about when's best, so I wouldn't worry too much about your childreni!

+1 can't help stressing about babies not eating , though ;)

nah not stressing ..... the childreni have been eating well up till weather change so i know they will eat if hungry lol .....

2 years + , is the go . All my adults are in winter mode , no feeding , very little cleaning . One of mine , a Darwin male around 6 years , goes off his food for 6 - 7 months each year . After mating he's back on the feedbag again . He's a lean , mean mating machine .

I feed all my snakes year round unless cooling for breeding, I have a 2 year old that still feeds during winter. Definately do not stop feeding hatchies, bump their temps up a bit so the ambient room temp does not effect the enclosure temps as much!!
