This is my little albino Darwin, he has shed 3 times now. The last one was last night, the scales were a bit funny looking before last nights shed and I thought it might look a bit better after a shed but they still don't sit smooth like the rest of them.
I just want to know if its something that will grow out as he grows?

It it a silly question or just one that can't be answered because only time will tell?

My Darwin had similar looking scales last year, also on the top of his head. It took 2 sheds to completely grow out.

Hope yours is the same. Good luck.

Thanks mate, Do you have before and after pics I could see? The main thing is that its nothing to worry about.
Cheers

No after pics, you'll just have to imagine him with perfectly normal scales.
Here's a pic of the scale damage - it didn't actually look this bad - the iphone flash exaggerated it. I took my photo to a very knowledgeable snake keeper & was advised to chill out. I never worked out what caused it & now that it's healed - don't really care.

I imagine it was just some scale damage either immediately before or after a shed when the skin was vulnerable, however if you're worried please don't accept my anecdotal advice, get someone who knows more than I do to have a look.

Hope it all turns out OK.
