Has anybody heard of calcuim build up in snakes??my snake is sic.the vet thinks its from over feading.any ideas...:(

you'd be best listening to a qualified vet!

but just out of interest, how much are you feeding it?

and how old is it?

shes over 1 year old.feeding her between 4 /8 fuzzys a fortnight,i got told 2 feed her till she stops..

wow 4-8 fuzzies that's a lot you'd be better off switching to a bigger food size for starters. i have a stimmie of similar age he eats 1 adult mouse every 10-14 days

i have no idea what to do in terms of treatment for the existing problem though, vet for that

listen to the vet, Also you shouldn't feed snakes as much as they can eat, if the doesn't snake already have an obesity problem when it stops growing it may get one. In the wild reptiles have to hunt and go with periods without food , therefore in captivity they often can get obese if overfed.
