sick snake in pet shop

I have made a complaint about a certain petshop in Fawkner through the RSPCA. Maybe give them a call. If complaints have been made before maybe the press is the better way to go, then the RSPCA and other organisations that are supposed to be protecting these animals would do their jobs a bit better.

Could we at least name the pet shops you are not talking about on Springvale road? I'm guessing as Amazing Amazon is in Glen Waverly it is not the shop in question. As much as I would like to see bad shops go out of business, I would hate to see good shops suffer. I think it is owed to the decent shops to state who you are not reffering too.

In my experience Amazing Amazon has been pretty good. Their prices are a bit better than most and I have purchased two very healthy and well priced snakes from them ($220 for an MD and $230 for a Darwin). When I have been there I have seen no obvious signs of disease or neglect in their reptiles. The aquariums seemed in good shape too. Didn't take any notice of the birds, but large birds in small cages always suck in my opinion.

IMO you should go in there and in a friendly non confronting way tell them how to make things better, rather than just complaining about them not being up to standard. Reptiles(in general) take bugger all effort/time to look after(compared to other animals), they dont really want them to die, im sure they would rather sell hem healthy rather than just lose them even if they dont really care about the individual animals. If you simply tell them what they should be doing even though it will get their backs up atleast it will make them think about it more than a complaint IMO.

amazing amzons a sick shop, i love it
iv gotten most my herps from thier..
they take good care of all thier animals
and they dont sell anythink that wont eat..

i getin my next snake from thier a green tree snake hopfully
for my b'day

Yeah this thread is not about Amazing Amazon - I've never had a problem with them. It's the one in Springvale or near there. Can't think of the name right now but I think someone did name it somewhere in the thread.
