Thanks again Aslan. I agree. I will maintain appropriate conditions and offer again in a week or so.

Well all 3 spotteds have fed for me. One of them has fed twice. Thank you to all who made comments and PM'd me.

Good job, hopefully they will keep feeding ;)

Thanks Dave! I'm feeling pretty confident they will become some great feeders. One may be a little slow (has little to no feeding response) but time will tell if it will improve. I'm anxious to find out what sexes I have.

Good to hear you got them feeding Ewan, it sounds quite easy compared to how hard it can be to get some of the little suckers started.
Just wanted to comment on the bhp in your sig. Mate that is a stunner!
Cheers
Adam

Thanks Adam. She is a cracker. One of Roger Lester's. Very robust and colourful at 20 months old.

Hey Ewan,
Definitely a stunner, great banding.
Roger Lester produces some beautiful animals alright!
That one would have been a holdback for most breeders,
Cheers

He sure does Ad. And I'm very much looking forward to see what she might produce in a few years time.

Another update....... One of the little spotteds I am a little concerned about. It has showed no interest in food. It has only had 1 feed on the 16/8/08 since I got it on the 2/8/08 and only approx 7 feeds since decemeber 07. It was dehydrated and it was not tongue flicking. Last night I took a cotton tip and used the stem to open its mouth to take a look. It was nice and pink and looked healthy but there was no sign of the tongue. I removed the cotton tip and the tongue came out once very short. I re opened the mouth and for a few seconds then released the cotton tip. The tongue then flicked out fully extended and it continued to do so. Tonight it took 2 pinky mice off the forceps one after the other. I am stolked that it had its second and third feed in 7 days but should I be concerned from here? Could there have been something not allowing it to open its mouth (bad shed or mucous)? Or early onset of RI? Should I go to the vet? I have also noted that since being able to tongue flick again its behaviour changed immediately. It was exploring and seaching for food.
